At home you will not be able to judge that how much deep you should do chemical peeling it will increase the chance of permanent skin damage . Deep chemical peeling is done under local anesthesia which you can not do at home . Apart from that the improper procedure of chemical peeling can lead to complications like scarring and infection . For acne scar you can apply retinoic acid at night which is safe for long time use ,but concentration is important , you should use it in 0.025% concentration. For acne kojic acid (safef or long term ) at day time and sunscreen SPF 15 while going out side will be very helpful. Acne occur due to clogged sebaceous gland pores or duct so exfoliation of skin is also important twice a week . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination and decide the line of treatment depending upon the severity of your condition . because there are many procedures like microdermabrasion, chemical peeling and laser therapy.
