Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Are there some doctors that are more experienced at treating schitophrinia? Son is 32 and working at Wash U as a post doc but feel the medicine is not working for him. Is there any medicine that will dismiss the thoughts he is having and let him get on with his life, he has none.
If he is not improving with his current regimen then he may need to be reviewed by his present psychiatrist or see another psychiatrist who may be able to help him.
There are different medications available that may be able to help with his schizophrenia. His doctor may be able to determine which ones would best help him.
I hope this helps
