Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

I understand that you are concerned about your husband's psychiatric problem, namely Schizophrenia. Now, schizophrenia is a chronic mental illness which needs long term treatment. Treatment is with medication called anti-psychotics. They are helpful in controlling the symptoms of Scizophrenia and helping the person lead as normal a life as possible. I would advise you to take him to a psychiatrist in your place to discuss about the treatment plan and to start treatment as early as possible. The earlier the treatment is started, the better the outcome may be.

Wish you all the best.

Regards,
