Suggest Treatment For Sciatica Pain In Right Side Abdomen

I m having trouble with my sciatica on my right side, unfortunately my issuance company didn t approve me to have an MRI. My doctor is submitting the request for the second time. .I m currently taking 5/325 hydrocodone since Dec. 2014. They no longer keep the pain tolerable, percocets give me rot gut, even tried taking with food, without food, milk nothing works for that rot gut feeling. Is there any other medication out there that I can suggest to him. .. This pain is interfering with me being able to hold down a job. Sincerely, Audrey Derr

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you to use ice pack or heating pad, gentle stretch. You should use NSAIDs medication like ketotifen or naproxen. Also, you can use muscle relaxants like muscoflex.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
