Suggest Treatment For Seasonal Asthma

Hi i have had a cough and also a lot of catarrh which i am managing to clear but it is quite thick and greeny/yellow. i suffer with slight asthma during the hay fever season and when i get a cold so i use a ventolin inhaler. I have had tightening of the chest and my lungs ache but today i feel i am on the mend although still bringing up a lot of catarrh especially in the morning and some during the day. Is there anything i can take to help this or will it just go away in time?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The cough may be related to your asthma, post nasal drip of mucus or may be due to an acute cough/cold.

Since it is productive , it is more likely related to the cough/cold or drip.

You may want to try a mucolytic to help break up the mucus so that it may be more easily expelled.
Eg are bisolvan, mucomyst, guifenesin

A topical steroid nasal spray may also be helpful.

I hope this helps
