Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to migraine, but a temporal arteritis (which is inflammation) can not be excluded.

I recommend consulting with your doctor for a careful physical examination and some blood lab tests (complete blood count, inflammation tests).

If all these tests result normal, the main cause of your symptoms would be migraine.

You should know that there are several treatments as preventive therapy (used to reduce the severity and frequency of migraine attacks). I would mention propranolol, verapamil, antidepressants (amytriptiline or SSRI drugs) or antiepileptic drugs (topiramate, valproate, lamotrigine, etc.).

I would recommend discussing with your doctor on the above issues.

Hope to have been helpful!
Greetings!
Dr. Aida
