Suggest Treatment For Several Stomach Pain And Constipation

I went to the hospital earlier today for several stomache pains. I have not had a bowel movement for days. Dr told me to go to drug store and get a bottle of gatorade and a box of MiraLax. He said to put 3 packets in the gatorade and drink it all. He sais in 2-4 hours I should open up. I have had a bit come out but now it is all water and it is red. The gatorade was red. Could that be what I m SEEING?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

thanks for the query

As per the studies,Gatorade does not have any side effects of giving a red poop nor does the drug Miralax powder. The watery diarrhoea is definitely because of miralax. But the colour I definitely dis agree. Therefore I recommend you re-consult your doctor about the colour and clear your doubt regarding it,as chances are there of wearing and tearing of your colon walls due to the hard stools, and blood tinged diarrhoea coming out as a result.
there may be other reasons too,for your reddish diarrhoea that will get clear once you re-consult your doc.

Thank You
Stay Healthy.
