Suggest Treatment For Severe UTI

Im a male and ive never had this problem before... It stings when i pee. a doctor told me it was a uti. While peeing little bits come out every now and then they look like blood clots only like a small tiny piece comes out tho... Then when finished pissing theres drops of blood... What does this mean?

Hello,

this is probably a urinary tract infection. A urinalysis and urine culture will confirm (or exclude) it. Since you're a male, you've got to do an ultrasound scan of your urinary tract to identify potential causes for this infection or other diagnoses like tumors or renal stones for example.

The urinary tract infection should be treated with an antibiotic. The right antibiotic to use depends on your medical history including recent exposure to antibiotics, comorbidities, etc
