Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Bloating And Diarrhea

My husband's belly has gotten big and hard over the last year. Sometimes he says it hurts. He has diarrhea a few times day and almost always immediately after he eats. His doctor didn't seem concerned but I am. Can you give me some possibilities so I can start looking? The PA gave him Prilosec and it helped with the pain but the bloating and diarrhea haven't went away.
