Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Cramps

I have been having non stop abdominal cramps for the past two days. They just don t stop they get worse sometimes but the pain is always there. I have had constipation problems for the past year but I have been pooping twice a day for the past week or so. I think it is my digestive system because it is in that region. It feels a bit better when I fart but it s really hard to. I pooped once today and I really had to push but it was soft looking and was a bit red and there was blood at the bottom of the toilet. I don t know what to do anymore because I can t take anymore pain! Please help! Thanks so much

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Anal fissures or hemorrhoids should be ruled out. Both can cause pain or bleeding while passing stools. Flatulence can be treated with antifoaming agents like simethicone which can be taken three times a day after food.

Maintain high fibre diet, adequate nutrition.Local anaesthetic gel like xylocaine gel or combination of steroid and xylocaine gel can be used. Sitz bath can also reduce the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
