Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain And Nausea

I have had pain and nausea in stomach and intestines. My doctor prescribed enzymes creon and symax duotab. My symptoms subsided but I became very dehydrated - my tongue would stick to the top of my mouth and lips would stick together, etc. So I stopped the symax duotab and now the intestine cramping and pain in my back has returned. I think I must go back on the symax duotab but what can I do about the dryness and constipation? thank you

Hi,

Symax Duotab is an anticholineric/antispasmodic. These medications reduce certain body fluids while effectively reducing the abdominal pain. While taking these medications make sure that you are well hydrated, also take soups & juices intermittently.

Make sure not to take any other medications with Symax duotab to avoid any drug interaction & complication. Severe abdominal pain is commonly due to UTI, cysts, polyps, fibroid & endometriosis in commonly in ladies.

Other causes are IBS, Acid reflux, Gastroenteritis, food allergy, indigestion, gall stones or lactose intolerance. You are recommended to get physically examined, get investigations done.

Your treatment will depend upon the cause & severity of your illness. Take antacids, PPI's for symptomatic relieve.
