Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain In A Child
I am trying to figure out what is going on with my child...she woke me up with pain to her right side of her abdomen, that she says comes and goes, feels like someone is stabbing her, began about two hours ago, lasts for a little while goes away and comes back. she says it is an 8.5 on a scale of 1 to 10 when the pain comes.
The right sided abdominal pain could be due to gall stone pain or appendix inflammation. The colon inflammation also could be causative. I suggest you investigate her with ultrasonography of abdomen to find underlying cause. According to cause specific treatment given.
I hope I have answered your question.Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
