Suggest Treatment For Severe Acid Reflux, Bloating, Nausea And Upper Abdominal Pain

Two years ago I was diagnosed with gastritis and acid erosion in my esophagus, about two weeks ago my acid reflux has gotten a lot worse, I am constantly bloated, nauseated and I feel like I have low blood sugar all the time. This morning I woke up with the taste of stomach acid in my mouth and I continue to cough up and taste stomach acid, even after taking my everyday dose of omeprazole, I have also started having pain in the left upper part of my stomach, it is also tender to touch and I keep falling asleep. Do I need to go to a hospital?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you to keep a healthy lifestyle, do not use alcohol, smoking, do not eat fried or spicy foods or drinks with gas. I suggest to consult with gastroenterologist and make blood count and upper endoscopy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
