Suggest Treatment For Severe Alcohol Addict

My husband s friend is a severe alcoholic. He has loss of appetite, severe joint pain and fatigue. He also can t stand to eat protein anymore. We are wondering if he is exhibiting signs of liver disease. We know he needs help with alcohol abuse, but he s refusing to do anything about it.

I can understand that it is a very difficult situation you are going through. The symptoms are suggestive of a liver disease, however, get a Liver function test (LFT) done and also USG or CT abdomen. Your husband definitely need help with alcohol abuse and liver disease, if progressed is fatal and it can shatter your family and resources. Please see a psychiatrist and a gastroenterologist before things get out of hand.
