General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your short history about your husband about having prostate cancer free but having severe arthritis taking low dose of prednisolone which your Doctor refused butthe Specialist said okay with.
There is nothing to be confused about as you have to follow the Specialist if there is no diabetes.
Rheumatologist can tell him the best investigations and management.
He may also need a specific treatment as per the cause of arthritis if specific like Rheumatoid or so.
MRI of the affected joints can add on to do the proper staging and thus plan management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
