Hi,

Can you mention your age, sex and history of any joint pains in limbs?

You had a back pain for few years, and now having neck pain radiating to arm and difficulty in turning head.

The recent issue suggests cervical spondylitis(osteoarthritis of cervical vertebrae) with pressure on nerves supplying arms. This condition needs evaluation and treatment without delay to prevent neuropathy and muscle weakness of arms.

It is possible that a condition causing arthritis is progressively affecting different parts of vertebra.

This can happen in conditions like ankylosing spondylitis or degenerative osteoarthritis. I would recommend you to consult a spinal surgeon and a rheumatologist for detailed evaluation. You may be asked for an MRI of spine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK
