Suggest Treatment For Severe Back Pain And Vertigo

I am suffering from vertigo... I have had this before and it is not severe but I find I must rest my head often and need to lay down. What I want to know is if I can take a pain killer because my back is really hurting me and makes it difficult to lay down, or stand up... I just would like to be able to be comfortable until this passes.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

It is OK to take a painkiller like ibuprofen or naproxen, etc., in your clinical situation. I would also recommend performing a cervical spine X-ray study, in order to investigate for possible chronic de-generations of the cervical spine, which can cause vertigo.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
