Hello,

Severe back pain due to overgrowth of bone is treated with anti-inflammatory medicines, you can take Combiflam or Naproxen, one SOS when required. Muscle relaxants like Baclofen also work well. Apply heat or ice in the area affected to ease out discomfort. Avoid strenuous exercises for a couple of days to give rest and reduce any swelling or inflammation.

You are suggested to visit an orthopedics and get clinically assessed. You may need injection therapy or nerve blocks. Reduce weight. Your treating surgeon may recommend you some MRI or CT if you need surgical interference to relieve pain and discomfort.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
