Suggest Treatment For Severe Back Pain
I have pain across the top of my back. It feels more muscular than anything. Yesterday it was across my entire back, upper and lower and around to my ribs. Breathing actually can hurt. No cough or cold, although it really hurts to sneeze or cough. It almost feels like a muscle pull, but in an extra large area.

Hello,
Take rest. You seem to have overexertion /sprain of the back muscles. Take rest to have a hot (tub) bath. Apply muscle relaxant ointment. Take pain pill (Ibuprofen) over the counter.
If no relief in 2 days or increase in pain. Consult your family physician for specific drugs/exclusion of spinal problem.
