Suggest Treatment For Severe Back, Rib And Hip Pain

My mother got a subcutaneous injection of Prolia 3 days ago and she is experiencing back, rib and hip pain. She normally would get an infustion of Reclast however her creatinine numbers were off. I know that these side effects are possible however, I can t find info about if these will go away eventually and what to do if they don t?

Hi,

Body aches and pains are very common with Prolia, which generally resolves in a few days without any treatment. However, if the pain is severe or you are very sick, you may need to go to your doctor. Hopefully, this would not be needed as aches and pains would go away in a few days. For the time being, you may use over the counter painkillers like Paracetamol.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
