Suggest Treatment For Severe Bad Breath For A Long Time

I have a severe case of bad breath which I have been experiencing for a very long time, years maybe, but has gradually come to a point where it's beginning to annoy people I hold a conversation with. I'm too embarrassed to speak to my gp about it, who is not very understanding. I'm pretty sure it smells when I breath through my nose as well, but mind you I find breathing through my nose difficult at times which might be linked to my bad breath. I've visited the dentist & my oral hygiene seems fine. I also suffer from coeliac disease

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your complain and presentation of symptoms Coeliac disease can be one of the cause of bad breath which is due to gluten intolerance and for this you should consult a Rheuatologist and get a proper evaluation done..

A few other common causes for bad breath can be Chronic Sinusitis, dry mouth, oral infections, digestive problems, diabetes etc..

You should get a through clinical examination done to rule out the exact cause of bad breath and get treated accordingly..

As of now to reduce the bad breath you can gargle with a flavoured mouthwash like Menthol containing twice a day to mask the bad breath..
Chew Sugar free chewing gums..
Nasal douching can help..
Do steam inhalations with a few drops of eucalyptus oil in it..

Maintain a good oral hygiene..
Avoid strong aroma foods like garlic and onions and drink plenty of water..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
