Suggest Treatment For Severe Belching After Eating Peanut Butter And Bread

Every time I eat peanut butter with whole wheat bread, I end up burping for the whole day, none stop. In other occasions it has made me gassy when I consume a bag of trail mix nuts too..but the thing is I m not allergic to any of these things. What is causing this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First reason that comes to mind is a digestive deficiency. Both the notorious food items you mention are fat-rich. Digestion of this food item depends on the pancreatic hormone.

A pancreatic hormone supplement would help. Take it in consultation with a gastroenterologist. By the time avoid fatty food. Eat more of veggies & salads.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
