Suggest Treatment For Severe Body Aches And Rashes On The Skin

Hello, I have had body aches for 3-4 days, and my skin, especially the upper abdomen area, is very sensitive to the touch, similar to a bad sunburn, but to rash etc. I have been running a temperature of 99.1 to 100.1 degrees. I have been taking Ibuprofen for the aching. I have also slept, most of the last two days, energy level is poor. My doctor thought is was viral and said it should dissipate in a couple of days. Severity is down, but still not a whole lot better.

Hello,

Severe body ache with fever can be viral infection. Since you are having rashes you can take antihistamines, combiflam/acetaminophen when needed for relieve.

You can get physically examined in ER, you may need antibiotics or antivirals.

Stay at rest, avoid addictions if any. Take homemade nutritious food, stay well hydrated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
