Suggest Treatment For Severe Bouts Of Acne On Face, Neck And Chest Area

Hi I am 28 year old female and have been suffering from severe bouts of acne on the face, neck and chest area and not only are they painful but they also leave a dark spot. Further, I also have open pores on my cheeks. I had previously been asked by a dermat to apply sofradex f cream and take doxt SL, but later he switched me onto minoz od 100 and acnedap for application. However, the acne persists. My blood reports suggest I may have PCOS and have been asked to go in for a lower abdomen USG. But my periods are normal every month. Can you please tell me what could be wrong?

As per your complain in case of you are diagnosed with PCOD or Polycystic ovary disease then Acne in your case seems to be due to hormonal imbalances..
The first thing that I would like to suggest you to consult a Gynaecologist and get evaluated and a thorough hormonal assy and pelvic ultrasonography can help in diagnosis and treatment of hormones imbalances by Hormone Replacement Therapy can help..
You can as of now start washing face with Salicylic acid containing facewash, apply Benzoyl Peroxide and Clindamycin gels, apply Adapelene gel at night..
Do cool compresses over pimples..
For dark spots apply Kojic Acid containing creams..
