Suggest Treatment For Severe Bronchitis

Was diagnosed with bronchitis maybe even walking pneumonia yesterday and have been on 3 meds since about noon yesterday. How long before I should start to see improvement? My dr acted like it should be pretty quick but maybe im just impatient. 3 meds are Levofloxacin 500 mg 1 tablet per day, Benzonatate 200mg 3 times per day, and Iophen-C NR Liquid 10 ml every night.

Hello,

Bronchitis may take 2-3weeks to recover. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking.

Avoid cool'drinks and freeze water. Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

You may have the patience to recover. continue antibiotics and bronchodilators.

If symptoms not improved get it done sputum examination and microscopy.

Chest X-ray also useful to rule out pneumonia.

If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
