General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It sounds like a hematoma in the subcutaneous tissue. Not harmful but annoying. If your son does not show any signs of concussion, e.g. headache, memory loss, fatigue, lethargy, nausea, etc. It is OK to wait until the appointment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
