Suggest Treatment For Severe Chest Congestion While Having Bronchitis
I had bronchitis there is stubben thlyme in the lower part of my thought and difficult to cough it out. The thlyme is thick and sticky. I am 59years old weight is 72kg and approximately 1.68m tall. This is yearly thing happens to me!! Regards Hannetjie
Hi Thanks for posting your query on HCM The recurrence of you symptom(yearly) suggest it is probably a Chronic obstructive bronchopnuemopathy that may be superinfcted.However, bronchitis is mostly caused by viral infections and may need only symptomatic management but bacteria infection or superinfection is common and will need a course of antibiotics.I will suggest you take a mucolytic like carbocysteine, a bronchodilator like salbutamol syrup.You will need a chest X-ray to evaluate the state of your lungs. I will advise you see a Doctor a chest X-ray, sputum exam and other respiratory work-ups like spirometry and peak flow tests.Given the chronic nature of your problem, these investigations will be necessary.
