Over the past 3 months or so it is getting worse, after eating I feel like food is not digesting and pain is under my right breast and seems really heavy on my center of my chest. I have taken pepcid for a long time... it helps but not like it used to and now the pain and heaviness is really hard to deal with... should I see a gastro doctor?
Hello dear! I've gone through your query and understood your concerns!
Having this type of pain, after your meals, indicates a gastrointestinal tract disorder. That can be caused by gastric inflammation, gastritis, peptic ulcers, hiatal hernia, and other medical condition that you may have not known about.
So If I were your primary doctor, I would recommend your go through some examinations to evaluate you gastrointestinal tract. It would be better an upper gastrointestinal tract endoscopy, that can be done by a gastroenterologist doctor at your healthcare center. After that you can take the appropriate medication to help you recover quickly.
I wish you will feel better soon. Have a good day ahead! DR ERIOL.
