Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough And Chest Congestion

I have a cough and congestion since the 4th of july. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with upper respiratory infection...l was given a z pac, which didn t work and then given augmentin but nothing helps...can t get any real rest and coughing till l gag or throw up..what can l do

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, to me such cough and congestion could be due to some allergic condition and I would treat this case with antihistamine alone initially and best drugs would be "Tab Loratadine with Pseudoephedrine" three times in day, and this is nothing to worry, still it is necessary to get done the x-ray and blood test, just to rule out the underlying possibilities of some mycobacterium hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
