so i am a 20 year old male who has asthma i have recently started coughing up mucus and have a hard time breathing there is alot of tightness in my chest and my albuteral is basically usless i have taken a bronchiol tablet and i took an antibiotic today but nothing has helpled

If you don't treat it now, it will worsen more. So consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). PFT will tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only. You will need inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone). Oral corticosteroid is also useful in some cases.
