Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough, Chest Pain And Breathing Difficulty

hi I have a few questions first off I am a 19 year old male college student I am currently taking azithromycin as an antibiotic for my allergies along with using a prescription inhaler (never used one before my trip to the doctor about 1 week ago). I also take adderal on a day to day basis for my ADHD. I also have been using the juul e cigarette but have been trying to quit. I work in a stockroom with lots of dust/cardboard and occasionally drink. symptoms overall include cough, chest pain, crackling sound from lungs when I breathe, irregular heartbeat, difficulty breathing, lots of mucus build up in throat, chest, etc. , throat feeling dried, slight acid reflux symptoms. difficulty swallowing, always feel like something caught up in throat, frequent recurring feeling in my chest/heart that is uneasy, overall chest and heart pain as well. My doctor thinks I have allergy induced asthma, but I believe something else might be happening due to use of the eciggarete and various other factors. would you have any idea what might be going on? I plan on not using the ecigarrete or any form of tobacco for a while, but do you think I should be worried about having popcorn lung or anything like that?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hi,

In my opinion, you should definitely consult pulmonologist and get done a clinical examination, chest X-ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). If all these are normal then no need to worry asthma or bronchitis.

Since you are taking Adderall which is a sympathetic stimulant drug, it can also cause similar symptoms because of side effects. So with all the above normal reports, you need to stop Adderall and see for any improvement.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
