Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough With Throat Infection
I have a deep barking cough, lots of chest and throat congestion, sore throat, bloody nose and have lost my voice. Docsaid I had a viral infection when seen last week. Its gotten worse! I have a newborn and he s now irritble with thrush. How do I keep himfrom contracting what I have? What s wrong with me?
I think if the coughing has not improved since the last visit to your doctors' last week, the viral infection might have been complicated with a bacterial infection.
So, to me, should:
- get rechecked by your doctor again as might need to start prescription meds
- gargle with warm water and salt
- apply the nasal saline spray to keep them well cleaned, avoid forceful clearing of the nose to prevent bleeding.
Try to not see your newborn while you have the symptoms to prevent him from contracting what you have. You can wear facial masks too.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
