Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a T spine compression fx at T6-7 over 30 yrs ago. I had pain then but subsequently any symptoms disappeared over the years. In 2012 I was in a head on collision (cars) and since then I ve had excrutiating left rib cramps, spasms and pain that is off the chart. These symptoms occur in waves for up to several days but, thankfully, no longer than a 1 hour duration several times in that event . Doctors don t seem to want to address. I don t know why or what I can do. Pain takes my breath away. One doc I saw shortly after accident in 2012 stated the cure for surgery would require breaking all ribs in that area and he wouldn t recommend that type of surgery for me. I am 64 years now. Breathing issues? Oh yes. Horrid. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Rebecca
It could be due to conditions like costochondritis. As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
