Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarrhea And Gurgling In Stomach

Hi, my mother has severe diarrhea, watery stool, and the most concerning part is the loud rumbling noises that we can hear from her stomach. They are like movements, constant, and they seem to be increasing. she has been taking Ciproxin 500 mg as well as NT - TOX 500 mg. there has been no improvement. She is in great discomfort. Please advise.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your mother have symptoms of severe diarrhea and gurgling in stomach. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like food intolerance , food allergy , bacterial or viral infection, parasitic infection or inflammatory bowel disease. It could be due to viral infection which is leading to electrolyte imbalance in body. Need not to worry. You should take plenty of fluids. You should avoid intake of outside of food. You should take banana daily. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like ornidazole , albendazole , omeprazole along with loperamide. For now eat light and non spicy , eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana .
