Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarrhea And Skin Rashes
I was on antibiotics for 8 years in the 1980s and 1990s . During that time I was breathing in toxic mold daily at work. I ve had many health problems resulting from this. I have had diarrhea and skin rash for 3 months now. I don t feel sick. Could this go back to the antibiotic harming me?
We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, you need to have an infectious disease specialist review or Pulmonary functions test for any restrictive pattern or HRCT chest due to mouldy hay inhalations to rule ABPA OR EAA.
Allergic skin tests may also be needed. Oral anti histamines like cetrizine or loratidine can be helpful for temporary relief. For diarrhea infective causes should also be ruled out.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
