Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarrhea And Vomiting

Periods of diarrhea vomiting feeling hot then cold immediate change from one to another feel like I am looking over my body from above, severe stomach pain, given morphine in ER. Happened twice in one year next year not at all the next year 1 time the following year. Feeling pain in my stomach that is so bad I want to die.

Hello,

When you have recurrent episodes of server vomiting and diarrhea along with extreme pain as you mentioned, I suggest without waiting anymore you should go to the ER. Once you get relief from these symptoms next thing you should do is visit a gastroenterologist.

As gastroenterologist will be able to guide you properly on this by seeing your detailed history and doing your physical examination also with the help of some diagnostic tests if required, he will be able to find the underlying cause for this. Severe vomiting and diarrhea with pain abdomen are commonly seen in food poisoning but there are other causes that can cause this which should be identified and treated so that future complications or similar episode can be prevented.
