Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarrhea In A Child

Hi, my 2.7 yr old baby is having loose motion frm past 2 days... also he is having stomach pain n passing stool with lots of mucus... not feln lk having food.... which medicine shud i go for diof ds or normetrogyl or shud i wait... can it get normal without any medicine

@ Usually viral enteritis of this age group is self limiting .
@ Follow certain guidelines strictly to get better recovery early

$ Allow plenty of liquids preferably boiled water , rice water, coconut
water , lemon juice , butter milk , oral rehydration salt
$ Soft , light diet with fresh curd at intervals .
$ Avoid all junk foods , spicy , biscuits , pastries , cookies , chocolates
$ Take care that child does not put any toys like stuffs in the mouth
$ Avoid exposure to excess heat
$ Needs more of mother`s warmth to recover faster .
$ Maintain hygiene of the anal part
$ Watch for fever , playfulness , vomiting or abdominal distension if
any signs doubtful consult pediatrician for starting antibiotics .
