Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarrhea When Diagnosed With Mesothelioma
My husband has Mesothelioma (diagnosed 2011) and is on maintenance chemotherapy of Alimta and Avastin. Chemo treatment was two days ago. He started bleeding when he has diarrhea. Today it was pretty severe. he insists on doing an activity now that requires some lifting. How serious is this? I will call his doctor during business hours, but want to know if i should insist that he not pick-up and lift 5 gallon buckets of wine. thank you

The symptoms he is experiencing are most likely chemo related. Yes, it would be wise not to exert for at least 2 weeks. Also, please do a CBC to check counts.
