Suggest Treatment For Severe Dizziness And Vertigo

Yesterday I experienced severe dizziness everythime I moved my heart to the point I was vomiting with bile. I could not evenmove without the room spinning out of control. I litterally crawled on the floor as I could not stand. It lasted for over 12 hours. I have never had vertigo before and wonder if this is what I experienced. I could not eat or drink. Finally I was able to get down some dry toast which seemed to help.

You have experienced the symptoms of vertigo. It commonly occurs due to “vestibular disorder” generally refers to a disorder affecting the inner ear that leads to dizziness, vertigo, and balance problems. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT. You will be asked to get hearing tests and balance tests, including head movement testing, eye movement testing, posturography and rotating chair testing done.

The treating doctor may tell you to get done CT/MRI if required. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected. You are instructed to avoid driving or doing any heavy work. You will be treated with medications like Vertin-6, water pills, etc. You will be recommended balance therapy, psychotherapy, head position maneuvers, etc.
