Suggest Treatment For Severe Dizziness In A Child

12 year old son injured arm making tackle. Bad bruising covering most of upper arm. Now has fairly long hard knot on bone near bicep. When he gets hit in same area, he reports seeing colors and gets a little dizzy. It s been 3 weeks since original arm injury, most discoloration is gone but hard knot still there. Is this just a reaction to pain?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Deducing from your history I am of the opinion that some granuloma formation or periosteal abscess has formed.

There may be other metabolic degenerative causes too. So is strongly advise you to contact a nearby orthopedic Doctor and have an X-ray done. You can further follow up with me with the reports.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
