Suggest Treatment For Severe Dizziness While On Clindamycin

I have been taking clindamycin hcl 30 MG every 6 hours for a week and today when I woke up and tried to sit up I became extremely dizzy and nauseous. After it passed I got up and felt ok. I ate berries and cornbread, then took the clinzmycin and in minutes was acutely dizzy. I can t find anything that says dizziness is a side effect but I have stopped taking it. I know I shouldn t stop an antibiotic until it s finished but I can t take another week of this dizziness. Do you know if the dizziness is likely to be from the clindamycin or might it be something else? I haven t had any signs of diahrea or muscle cramps.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think this dizziness is not a side effect of clindamycin. Neither it is a reaction of clindamycin to berries or corn bread. I think it is related to any other conditions such middle ear.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
