Suggest Treatment For Severe Dry Cough

Hi, I have had a ongoing cough. Mostly dry cough. I cough mostly late at night and when I get into bed. In the morning I will cough up mucous, thick and slightly green. I also will start feeling stuffy nose as it gets later in the day. I don t feel sick or have any other symptoms. Just annoying persistent coughing. This has been going on for months. A few weeks ago, I had laryngitis, my coughing a couple days prior was particularly hard and I believe I probably irritated my larynx, but to be on safe side, I went to urgent care. Doctor didn t see anything but prescribed a Z-pack to head off anything. She also prescribed a cough syrup with codeine which I only took for 2-3 nights.
