I had a cold a few weeks back.quite severe. Now I have been left with a bad ear infection which has cleared and left me with low pitch tinitus in my left ear.in the last 2 weeks I ve noticed 2 lumps on my head one behind the affected ear which is oval shape and hard like bone hurts after applying hard pressure And one in the back of the neck just under the skull on the right side.smaller than the one on the head but still hard and doesn t move when touched.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of severe cold a few weeks back followed by bad ear infection, remained with low pitch tinnitus. This type of tinnitus suggests that the infection has traversed to the cochlea or the main nerve, may resolve with proper treatment. The cause of the swelling behind hte ear and neck is mostly due to the infection from the ear. You need to continue the antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicine till all these problems are solved.
