Suggest Treatment For Severe Edema Switching From One Foot To Another

Severe edema, keeps switching from one foot to the other. This is an elderly gentleman on heart medicine furosemide and had thought maybe he was low potassium and such due to meds so have been giving him fruit blend of lemon, celery, banana, apple and pineapples or blueberries to try to replace eletrolytes but maybe that was bad? comporession socks seemed to make the one foot worse. Wll Epsom slats help? should I be tAKING HIM TO DOCTOR - EMERGENCY? HE SEEMS OKAY BUT SWOLLENA ND PAINFUL YYYY@YYYY

Well come to HCM
If taking some medicine for heart means must be having some heart disease and this is not clearly mentioned here, and I guessed this could be congestive heart disease or failure and in such condition edema is common symptoms with proper care and medicine this could be minimize to far extend, take care.
