Suggest Treatment For Severe Foot Pain

hi how are you doing tonight. I have a question im a 20 year old male and i injured my left foot earlier this summer and i got xrays finally since it hasnt stopped bothering me and the pain in my left foot has only worsened since the xrayshowed I have a calcaneal heel spur thathas grown very largely in my left foot and is irritating and very close to my calcaneous bone in my left foot the doc at my clinician urgent care after i had xrays taken gave me a fitted foot boot and i made an emergency refferal to have an appt. w/ the otherapetic dr wh is also a orthapetic and podiatrist surgeon and i have an appt w/him this tuesday upcoming @ 8am est 8/31/10 from the best of your knowledge do you know how injuries like mine are usually treated and whatthe dr will do when I have my dr's appt. with him tuesday?
