Suggest Treatment For Severe Hair Fall And Itchy Scalp
My hairs were very healthy (long and dense and shiny) 6-7 years ago. now they grow long but not dense. Also the shine is lost and they go dry&brittle very quick. I have no idea what s happening. Have been worried since last 3-4 years. Also my scalp has become very itchy (i tend to scratch my scalp even while asleep) and i do get pimples on scalp filled with pus. How do i treat all of this. Thank you so much!
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Based on the description you have given, you could be having seborrheic dermatitis with super added infection of the scalp. Kindly take the following measures to overcome it: 1. Wash the hairs with shampoo containing Ketoconazole everyday for a month. 2. Use shampoo containing coal tar or salicylic acid along with Vitamin E, Selenium and Zinc once in 3 days for a month. 3. Apply Clindamycin Ointment on the pimples of scalp only at bedtime. Your symptoms should gradually subside and get cleared of all the symptoms. Then you can continue to use the above shampoos giving more number of days duration in between. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
