Suggest Treatment For Severe Hair Loss And Seborrheic Dermatitis

About 2 yrs ago I noticed several indents in my scalp and now I have a few more going a different direction than the first ones. I have seborrheic dermatitis could this be the cause of them. I m also losing a lot of hair sometimes over 500 a day as I try to count them 1 day a week. I go to see the dermatologist this week, is this something he can help me figure out.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe hair loss and seborrheic dermatitis which is a condition known as alopecia due to many reasons like genetic factor, nutritional deficiency, systemic pathology, inadequate hygiene, fungal infection and hormonal changes. Need not to worry. You should take indian gooseberry powder with water once a day and use olive for massage. Keep your scalp dry. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may order skin patch test , blood test and physical examination. Doctor may prescribe you drug like finpecia at least for 3-4 months. You should start with Finasteride preparations as these are best in treatment of hair loss. You should apply Mintop 10% directly on scalp to stimulate growth of hair follicles. You should take diet rich in multivitamins and take plenty of fluids. Avoid application of any hard cosmetics on scalp and maintain hygiene of scalp area.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
