Suggest Treatment For Severe Hair Loss

Hi, I m 23 years old female and I had a head full of hairs, very long and thick, 2-3 years back but now I m left with not even 20% of what I had earlier. Im also experiencing progressive graying of the hairs on the sides and Crown. The quality of hair has deteriorated over time, they have got thin and weak. Im in my final MBBS and I ve consulted the doctors from my govt hospital as well as private practitioners. I ve got various diagnosis, like female patterned baldness, male pattern baldness and telogen effluvium, and also been prescribed medications for all these, I ve used them for some time, not long. Im not sure what I m exactly having, because I ve seen 4 doctors and all have given me different diagnosis, and i didn t find it satisfactory. Im so frustrated as I have lost all the volume I had, and if the hair fall continues, soon my scalp will b visible. Can u please guide me what i should do?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due female pattern baldness. This is more common in the age group like yours. Polycystic ovarian syndrome also will be there in most of the cases. Increase in dihydrotestosterone can be from this also. So it is better to rule out and treat that also. Hormonal supplementation also helps in some.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
