Suggest Treatment For Severe Hayfever?

I have been suffering from severe hayfever ever since living in both London and Ireland (12 years of annual suffering). I grew up in South Africa and would get hayfever only on occasion and certainly not every year. I lived in South East Asia for almost a year and never experienced hayfever or any allergies at all. I have tried all the over the counter medication including one prescribed medication xyzol. All are either ineffective or put me in an existential state of being. I have never gone for an allergy test as I am not sure whether knowing particularly which pollens are affecting me would help bring a solution other than an anti histamine. I would appreciate any information and advice that could help me as I have this notion in my head that every year that I endure the onslaught of this cursed hayfever that my life span is being systematically being shortened; at least that s how I feel.

Hello
As you mentioned that you are having "HAY FEVER" i.e an allergy caused by pollen or dust in which the mucous membranes of the eyes &/or nose are inflamed causing sneezing & watery eyes.
In allergic hay fever there are few major signs( symptoms ).
Nasal itching, watery eyes, rhinorrhea, nasal obstruction, sneezing, post nasal discharge.
Non-allergic hay fever have signs ( symptoms ).
Nasal congestion & discharge , facial pressure/pain,post nasal discharge, fever, cough , fatigue, anosmia, ear pressure.
But allergic or non allergic usually symptoms are same .
When such cases visit my clinic I prescribe them "monteleukast+bambuterole " tablet once or twice in day .
But avoidance is important as for pollen , mold , hay , fine dusting powder, mite , sudden change of temperature.
Hot coffee, steam inhalation also helps .
Don't desperate as this is a predisposing of asthma and you will have to take treatment whenever you will come in contact with these allergens .
Hope this information will help you.
