Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache In A Diabetic

I am a 27 year old male with hepatitis C genotype 2 and type 1 diabetes. I was taking medication for the hepatitis, ribovirin and sovaldi. I had to stop the medication because the side effects became very severe. I lost about 10 lbs couldnt get out of bed and could not stop throwing up day and night. My sugar went wild and was very difficult to control. My headaches are severe but behind me eyes is the worst. Very sensitive to light and smell. No energy and I feel mentally slowed down. For the last two weeks my symptoms went away but starting Sunday morning every symptom came back faster than a freight train. Any advise would really be appreciated. Thank you, Jake

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to migraine. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen three times a day. I also recommend avoiding factors that might trigger the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
